This warms my librarian soul. Thank you, Lisa, for your excellent video. The library was my best childhood friend, and I learned even more of its miracles when I became a librarian. Libraries and librarians are threatened now in 2 profound ways—(1) the banning books craziness and all that it entails; and (2) the Trump dismantling of IMLS (the Institute for Museum and Library Services) which gives grants to libraries across the U.S. and also supports the future of libraries. Oh my, forgot one: Trump's firing of Carla Hayden, the widely admired and respected Librarian of Congress. Horrid. We must protest.
